Scanning Documents at WMed

Summary

This article will illustrate the three ways you can scan a document from a Kyocera copier here at WMed.
There are three ways you can scan a document using the Kyocera copiers at the various locations they are provided here at WMed.

The first step is to swipe your badge at the copier, that will bring up a page on the touchscreen where you can select the ability to scan.


Selecting the Scan option will take you to another page that gives you three options to scan.  That being, Scan to Email, Scan to Folder (I: Drive), and Scan to OneDrive.


  1. Scanning to email is straightforward, if you select that option then the document that you scanned will be sent to your email.  This is good for smaller documents as email does have a size limit.
  2. Scanning to folder requires IT intervention.  If you would like the ability to scan to a folder in your I-Drive please contact IT Support at 337-4409 opt 2.  Once IT has enabled that ability you will find your scans in "i:\scan".
  3. Scanning to OneDrive does require you to enable that feature, but this is very simple.  After your first scan you will receive an email requiring you to do a one off authorization by clicking on the "Login to OneDrive for Business".
           

           Every subsequent scan after that will also send you a confirmation email with a link that will take you directly to that scanned document.
           

           You can also go directly to that scanned document by navigating OneDrive and going to its file location: My files > Apps > Scans for PaperCut MF
