Using Skype for Business

Microsoft publishes a huge amount of resources including videos, PowerPoint slides, PDFs, and web-based instruction on their site.

Currently, the environmental monitoring system Smart-Vue Pro will only send alert notices to your primary WMed email address. It is possible to set up an Outlook rule to forward these messages to your smartphone via SMS/MMS (text messaging*).

First, it is important to know the format your wireless carrier uses to receive SMS/MMS messages.  Reference the table below to find your carrier’s format.  For example, if my phone number is 269-555-1212 on Verizon, I would forward to the address 2695551212@vzwpix.com.

If your carrier is not listed below, contact IT Support for assistance.

Provider

Email-to-SMS Address Format

AT&T

number@mms.att.net (MMS)

Boost Mobile

number@myboostmobile.com (MMS)

Cricket

number@mms.cricketwireless.net (MMS)

Sprint

number@pm.sprint.com (MMS)

T-Mobile

number@tmomail.net (SMS and MMS)

U.S. Cellular

number@mms.uscc.net( MMS)

Verizon,

Spectrum Mobile,

or Xfinity Mobile

number@vzwpix.com (MMS)

OR, if the above does not work, try:

number@vtxt.com (SMS)

Next, create the Outlook rule to forward Smart-Vue Pro emails.  This is most easily accomplished in Outlook Webmail (even if you use Desktop Outlook):

  1. Log in to Outlook Webmail at https://outlook.office.com/mail/options/mail/layout
  2. In the Settings window that appears, click Mail > Rules
  3. Click + Add new rule
  4. Give the rule a name, such as “Smart-Vue Pro Alerts to SMS
  5. Add a condition From = noreply@thermofisher.com
  6. Add an action Forward To = [your SMS address from table above]
  7. Save the rule to enable it. Smart-Vue Pro messages will now arrive as a SMS/MMS message on your phone.

* NOTE: SMS/MMS messaging and data rates may apply.  Check with your wireless carrier to ensure you understand any possible charges for receiving SMS/MMS messages.
